This clinic is designed to help those who have a reliable roll in a pool but struggle when comes to using that roll when they need it the most, in whitewater and current.
The clinic will be held at a class II river, the Tuckaseegee, and will consist of some refinement in flat water before moving downriver to perform some drills in current and whitewater. There will be ample safety present, so you can focus on your roll, not what will happen to you and your gear, if you swim.
Course Goals:
To critique your flatwater/pool roll.
Identify any deficiencies in your flatwater/pool roll.
Provide instruction to make your flatwater/pool roll stronger giving the student self-help techniques they can implement out of the clinic environment.
Last but not the least, transitioning your flatwater/pool roll into a reliable moving water/combat roll.
Instructors: Robert Weddell, Dennis Owens and Wayne Pool
A Little History: Robert has taught this clinic to great student success for approximately 25 years. Both Dennis and Wayne add even more instructor experience to the cadre. All these factors make for a most successful clinic
