Members of FPC enjoy annual events like our Spring membership drive at Chattooga Fest, our Summer Social in Greenville, our East Tennessee Pilgrimage weekend, and throughout the year our many clinics and paddling trips.

Upcoming
Twice a year (April & Nov) water thunders through the gorge as kayakers challenge their skills & spectators watch from the rim. This weekend cannot happen without the support of volunteers to help manage traffic and ensure the safety of boaters and spectators alike.
Trip on Chattooga River Section 3.5 is Coordinated by Judy Putnam. PFDs OK, but need class III experience/skills and a solid combat roll.

This clinic is taught on Section 8 French broad, Backup French Broad ledges, backup backup lower green (100.4ft),
This class will be held on the Tuckasegee River and will cover rolling in whitewater current, strategic methods on rolling in rapids, reading water, and setting up. The clinic will also include a rescue demonstration.

Chattooga Fest is Foothills Paddling Club's largest paddling event of the year! Every first weekend in May, our members from South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia gather at the Wild and Scenic Chattooga River for paddling and camaraderie. The event runs from Friday evening into Sunday with activities that include social dinners, a fun raffle, and meet-up paddling groups.

Carolina Canoe Club will host their annual renowned Week of Rivers event July 1-9 based at Smoky Mountain Meadows Campground.
