This summer, our club social will be held at the Nantahala River.

This summer, our club social will be held at the Nantahala River. This is our annual summertime get-together for paddling and friendship. We will meet Saturday, June 14th at 9 a.m. at the Nantahala River launch site at Wayah Rd, Topton, NC 28781. We will pow-wow about our groups and trips, then head off to paddle.

• Tuckasegee River

From 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 food and drink will be served at the Nantahala launch site parking area. Fare will be hamburgers and hot dogs, beans, chips, and potato salad. If you roll while paddling, you may also have a cookie; if you swim, you can have two. Drinks will include tea, lemon-aid, and water. Bring a dish or drink to share, if ya like. Alcohol is prohibited at this recreational site.
