Is your back-up paddle a set of hand paddles stuffed in your stern that you’ve never used? Have you watched people using hand paddles and thought it looked like fun? This course is a one day introduction designed to teach you how to effectively use hand paddles on class 2 whitewater.
You will learn basic strokes and rescues with hand paddles before moving downstream to work on ferries, catching and peeling out of eddies, and other maneuvers.
Requirements:
Class 2 river experience
Hand paddles
Boat and all other personal equipment
