We are excited to attend the Nantahala Outdoor Center’s annual Guest Appreciation Festival (GAF) this Fall. We have reserved a group campsite for our club members at Smoky Mountain Meadows campground for the weekend, and you are invited to join us for camping, boating, and shopping the sales. This registration is for the Foothills Paddling Club group campsite.
Rivers in the area include the Tuckasegee (Class I-III), Lower Nantahala (Class II-III), the Upper Nantahala (Class III-IV), and the Cascades (Class V) -a great section to drive up and look at. There is also flatwater recreation (SUP/Kayak) available at Lake Fontana. Nearby towns with restaurants and shopping include Bryson City, Silva, and Dillsboro.
