Sid Morel and National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) have organized a paddle on Lake Hartwell in remembrance of 9/11. Let us, as a club and as thankful members of the community, rally around our nation’s firefighters as we honor the sacrifices made on September 11 ,2001 and since the tragic event.

This will be an 8.5 lake paddle (shorter trips available) with support from safety boats. All types of paddle craft are welcome, however we do encourage bringing something that is appropriate for the flat water and the distance. FPC’s recommendation is a craft that is at 12ft in length and tracks well. If you need advice on boat choice or need to borrow a boat, we recommend you post in the #paddle-to-remember channel in our Discord server.
